Graduation Story
I remember so very vividly at the age of 12, standing in a queue of approximately 100 students ready to graduate primary school. The graduating class was neatly groomed in the graduation attire—white tops and black bottoms. I was the only exception. My mother could not afford the graduation attire, so I wore my khaki school uniform. I was led to the back of the line and then when it was my turn, I was told to stand aside. I was crushed! So I climbed a tree and watched my graduation from outside the building.
This is a part of my story; but it is a reality for many disadvantaged children every day.
