Poverty, illiteracy, substance abuse, teen pregnancy and an HIV/AIDS epidemic threaten many communities in Guyana. Under the motto “In the Heart of the City, with the City at Heart” Central Assembly of God Church in Guyana ministers to these communities through a holistic outreach, focusing on disadvantaged youth, disadvantaged families and the elderly.
Central Assembly needs your help to deliver nutritional support, life skills training, vocational skills training, homework assistance, family counseling and spiritual guidance to 150 disadvantaged students this year.
The approximate cost to run the program is $393 per child.
The program’s budget needs include:
Providing 3 meals a week for 150 students
Stipends for teachers, counselors, coaches and cooks
