Antioch Baptist Church has a special program for senior citizens they call the Keen Agers Ministry. “Keen Agers” are brought in twice a month for recreation and fellowship. The day’s session starts with a devotional message and then participants are treated to picnics, prayer meetings, discussions, lectures; and at the end of the morning, a hot lunch is served.

In addition, preventative hypertensive and diabetic checks are done by nurses who are members of the church. In many cases, seniors have been referred to the hospital after being checked.

For the past few years, the ministry has facilitated an average of 24 seniors each session. With your help, they would like to increase average participation to 32 seniors each session.

The men and women served by the Keen Agers Ministry have developed a special bond and say they always look forward to the next session.

Each session is estimated to cost $400
