Academically, spelling bee competitions help students improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn new concepts, and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives. In the intercity, spelling bees give children something to strive for; a healthy way to compete.

The Dupont Primary School holds a spelling bee annually, but needs your help to provide spelling bee study books; to provide incentives for teachers serving as spelling bee tutors; and to purchase trophies to award top spellers.

Books will be used by the students and then returned to be used the following year.
